The land of the temple which is situated in Mauza Bahapur belongs to Shamlat Thok Brahmins and Thok Jogians who are the pujaries / priests of this temple and are the joint owners and co - sharers in the temple. As per custom of the temple only the male pujari / priest can perform puja sewa. There is no person who is individually a priest / pujari in this temple. Here due to the joint ownership of the pujaries / priests there is a Bari system in the temple which commences from every Shudi Ekadashi of Shukl Paksh and ends on the Dashmi of Krishna Paksh and the pujari / priest who comes during the said Bari is the head pujari / priest of the temple.
The doors of the temple are opened in the morning by the pujari / priest who is performing puja sewa as per their turn and during the night the doors are also closed by the same pujari/ priest. It is also called as "Sajja uthana" in the morning and at night "Sajja Lagana". Sajja Uthana means waking up of goddess Maa Kalka and Sajja Lagana means sleeping of goddess. And during the night nobody is permitted to make any noise or ring the bells of the temple as the goddess Maa Kalka is slept till the picking up of Sajja.
